Photojournalist Lynsey Addario issues an NFT collection
Lynsey Addario is an award-winning photographer from the U.S. She was named one of the five most influential photographers of the past 25 years and won the Pulitzer in 2009.
Lynsey regularly works for The New York Times, National Geographic, and Time Magazine.
Addario mostly focuses on wars, conflicts, and humanitarian crises in her work. She is known as the photographer that changed the way people see wars. Maybe the new NFT collection, “From the Flames,” will change the way we see climate change.
The collection aims to raise awareness of the urgency of global warming. It includes 2 photographs made in 2021 during the wildfires in Northern California. One of the photos was featured on the cover of National Geographic, while the other made it to the pages of the magazine.
“Caldor Fire, Burning Cabin” is a 1/1 artwork with a reserve price of $2,000. “Dixie Fire, Butte Lake Campground” was issued in the quantity of 5 and sells for $400.
“From the Flames” is now available on NFT marketplace MakersPlace. Together with the digital version, holders will receive printed and signed photographs. “Caldor Fire, Burning Cabin” holder will also grant a 30-minute Q&A talk with Linsey.
Addario will donate 10% of the proceeds to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports firefighters and their families.
