Vogue China partners with TRLab to bring a curated NFT collection
Global fashion magazine Vogue partners with fine art NFT platform TRLab to develop a non-fungible token collection. Named “Wear the Blue,” it gets inspiration from Vogue’s interactive art and fashion experience Meta-Ocean.
The release will feature digital artworks by six art pioneers: Anushka Tendolkar, Khyati Trehan, Jessica Ticchio, Baoyang Chen, Mom Chen, and Cattin Tsai. Each artist has created limited-edition pieces that intersect the concepts of the ocean, technology, digital art, and fashion.
NFTs will grant holders access to exclusive Vogue events throughout the year, a subscription to Vogue Club, or a Vogue Business membership.
The curated collection goes live on October 11. It’s worth noting that part of the proceeds will go to ocean-themed and literacy charity institutions.
TRLab went live on April 20, 2021. The platform aims to pioneer a new way of conceptualization and collection of fine art. The Vogue partnership is not TRLab’s first fashion project, as the marketplace has previously partnered with Tatler China. An NFT artwork by David Ariew, which was minted on the platform, appeared on the cover of Tatler in December 2021. Notably, the artwork, dubbed “Fractal Monarch,” was the first-ever NFT to be featured on the cover of a Chinese magazine.
