Deloitte Unveils Generative AI-Powered Internal Chatbot “DARTbot”

Deloitte has unveiled “DARTbot,” an internal chatbot powered by advanced generative AI. The corporate chatbot aims to transform how Deloitte’s 18,000 Audit & Assurance professionals handle intricate accounting questions, making their work more efficient and improving the audit experience for clients.

Moreover, DARTbot aims to streamline tasks and decision-making by offering intelligent and valuable responses.

The initiative is part of Deloitte’s ongoing commitment to infuse generative AI applications and productivity tools across its organization, ensuring the safe and reliable application of AI within the framework of Trustworthy AI. By introducing purpose-specific LLMs and chatbots like DARTbot, Deloitte intends to boost productivity, allowing its professionals to focus on key aspects of their work, such as professional objectivity, skepticism, and bias evaluation.

“Integrating Generative AI into our technology solutions, combined with the experience, critical thinking and professional judgment of our professionals, will allow us to deliver deeper insights and a differentiated client experience with distinction and trust,”

said Dipti Gulati, U.S. CEO of Audit & Assurance at Deloitte.

DARTbot offers a user-friendly interface, connecting Audit & Assurance professionals with a vast knowledge base and industry best practices. The chatbot acts as a virtual assistant, providing real-time guidance and navigating complex accounting inquiries.

Furthermore, Deloitte emphasizes data security and privacy during the development of DARTbot. The chatbot incorporates robust security measures, including advanced encryption and access controls, to protect sensitive information. Notably, it operates in a secure, isolated environment and doesn’t rely on user input data for model training.

Deloitte’s investment in AI fluency extends to training over 120,000 professionals through the AI Academy and a $2 billion commitment to global technology learning and development initiatives. This investment focuses on enhancing skills in key technology areas, including AI, for addressing industry and functional issues.

Deloitte’s AI Partnerships Aim to Reshape Consumer and Enterprise Fields

In August, Deloitte partnered with Google Cloud to introduce ConvergeCONSUMER, a consumer-focused initiative using AI and data analytics to enhance customer experiences. It offers solutions that leverage real-time data and Google Cloud’s AI technologies for predicting customer behavior, optimizing supply chains, and personalizing marketing campaigns.

Simultaneously, Deloitte teamed up with Nvidia to revolutionize enterprise software using generative AI. The company is deploying Nvidia’s technology to create high-performing solutions across various enterprise systems. These solutions will offer automated coding, workflow automation, and industry-specific insights, driving enterprise transformation and adopting AI-driven business models.
