Christie’s announces its second NFT auction, featuring 15 digital artworks
The bidding is open from November 30 to December 7
Historic auction house Christie’s presents the new edition of Christie’s 3.0, dubbed “Next Wave: The Miami Edit.”
Christie’s 3.0 is a Web3-themed initiative launched by the house in September. The on-chain auction platform is dedicated to NFTs and was built in partnership with minting company Manifold, blockchain data firm Chainanalysis, and Metaverse builder Spatial.
In September, Christie’s 3.0 hosted the inaugural auction featuring 18-year-old visual artist and activist Diana Sinclair. This time, the platform auctions over 15 NFT artworks by noted creators. Among these are Ash Thorp, RhymezlikeDimez, Cory Van Lew, Ayla El-Moussa, Cath Simard, Zancan Andres Serrano, Dave Krugman, Sasha Stiles, Elf J Trul, Luis Ponce, Slimesunday, Goldcat, and art collective Random International with Danil Krivoruchko. Notably, the artistic collaboration of the latter will present the top lot of the auction. Dubbed “Life in Our Minds: Mother Flock,” the generative artwork allows viewers to manipulate its pieces like origami.
The overall estimates for the second edition of Christie’s 3.0 range from 4 to 100 ETH. Users can place biddings on the platform from November 30 to December 7.
“Building on the momentum of our highly successful inaugural sale, Christie’s Digital Art team is absolutely thrilled to bring to life the first various-owner sale of Christie’s 3.0. We are beyond proud to be leaders in the Web3 community and are humbled to have the ability and privilege to amplify these important artistic voices in the contemporary art landscape,”
says the Director of Digital Art Sales at Christie’s, Nicole Sales Giles.
On a side note, the artworks will also be exposed during Miami Art Week from November 29 to December 3. Individuals can attend the event for free.
