Christina Aguilera files Metaverse, crypto, and NFT trademarks
Three Wishes Productions LLC and singer Christina Aguilera have filed NFT, crypto, and Metaverse-related trademark applications. The news was shared by The United States Patent and Trademark Office licensed trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis.
The application includes all downloadable media that contains audio, video, text, and artwork related to music and performing arts. This type of content will be backed by non-fungible tokens, as well as digital artwork collectibles and other blockchain-based assets.
Then, Christina Aguilera filed trademarks for various virtual merchandise. The list includes art, virtual goods, avatars, clothing, footwear, jewelry, eyewear, beauty products, accessories, hardware, and beverageware.
More than that, the trademark application features entertainment services, such as music performances and concerts, Metaverse appearances, and non-downloadable online games.
As of September 26, several well-known singers and actors have filed crypto-related trademarks. In March, singer Billie Eilish filed trademarks for NFTs, virtual currencies, digital collectibles, and other assets. American singer Lizzo has also filed eight trademark applications related to NFT-backed multimedia, virtual clothing and footwear, and virtual concerts.
In August, Miley Cyrus registered Metaverse-related trademarks for her name. The actress will reportedly provide entertainment services in the Metaverse and create virtual merchandised clothing, energy drinks, and virtual currency management software.
