Paris Hilton to support women in Web3
Well-known media personality and NFT enthusiast Paris Hilton will support women in Web3. The celebrity created a fund in partnership with the Los Angeles County Museum Of Art (LACMA).
“As an activist and entrepreneur who likes to push the boundaries in many male dominated fields, I immediately identified the need to support women in Web3. There are so many incredibly brilliant and creative women innovators in the space,” said Hilton.
The initiative aims to help female artists who specialize in AR, animation, video art, NFTs, and other disciplines. The fund also plans to hire international art curators that will study digital innovations.
Los Angeles County Museum Of Art has been interested in innovations since the late 60s. The museum launched an “Art and Technology” program that supports 70 male artists who work with technologies. In 2014 LACMA launched ART+ which focuses on experiments in design and adventures in art and industry.
LACMA has already purchased two artworks for its upcoming exhibition dedicated to innovation and technology. The permanent collection of the museum will include “The Question” by British artist Shantell Martin and “Continuum” by Canadian-Korean artist Krista Kim.
After the LACMA exhibition, the artworks will be on display at Arizona State University starting in the fall of this year.
