Tencent Cloud Partners with Ankr to Launch Blockchain RPC for Web3 Developers
In Brief
Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC is Tencent’s first Web3-native product.
The new product aims to provide blockchain node infrastructure and developer services to Web3 builders.
Developers can query data and process transactions on a variety of blockchains via the RPC service.
Tencent Cloud, the cloud business of Chinese tech giant Tencent, today announced the debut of its first Web3-native product, Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC.
Developed in partnership with Web3 infrastructure provider, Ankr, the new product aims to provide blockchain node infrastructure and developer services to Web3 builders and enterprises.
This comes after Tencent Cloud signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Web3 infrastructure provider Ankr to collaborate on a full suite of blockchain API services.
Tencent said that the introduction of the Blockchain RPC strives to provide developers with a blockchain node infrastructure solution that is fast and robust.
Through the Remote Call Procedure (RPC) service, developers can query data and process transactions on a variety of blockchains such as such as Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Smart Chain, and Polygon PoS.
According to Ankr, the RPC service supports a regular request volume of up to 1,800 requests per second per chain.
Two versions of Tencent Cloud Blockchain RPC will be available. The public version offers free blockchain interaction with limited features and rate limits while the premium version offers Pay-as-you-Go blockchain interaction with increased request throughput and enhanced rate limits.
In the near future, Tencent Cloud plans to launch an enterprise-exclusive version of the service covering more use cases and major regions worldwide.
“The initiation of our partnership with Tencent Cloud is a pivotal moment for Ankr and indicates the leaps made by the decentralized internet in integrating with the vital infrastructure of the broader web ecosystem,” Stanley Wu, Co-Founder and CTO of Ankr, said in a statement.
This is not Ankr’s first partnership with a tech giant. In February, Ankr partnered with Microsoft to offer enterprise node services.
In the same month, Tencent Cloud unveiled its suite of Blockchain API services and announced strategic partnerships with Avalanche, Sui and Scroll to provide blockchain infrastructure.
