Stability AI launched ‘XL’, an incredible deepfake generator that is specifically designed for businesses

Stability AI used the image to promote its new Stable Diffusion XL model, saying that those who cough up the dough could gain access to “next level photorealism capabilities.”
The new version of the company’s open-source software, Stable Diffusion XL, is 2.3 billion parameters and uses 2.3 million parameters. Stability AI’s engineering VP Scott Draves told VentureBeat that the new model is an improvement over its previous model, Stable Diffusion V2.1, but it shouldn’t be called 3.0 yet. The company said users can use less detailed prompts to create more highquality AI images at 512×512 resolution. The company is promoting the product for handling difficult parts of images like natural text and hands.
Generative AI like DALLE 2 is in beta and limited by availability. The competition’s Midjourney V5 closed down free access to its Discord-based image generator because of “extraordinary demand” and “trial abuse.” The company plans to add back its free trial system. Stability AI’s training data was collected from the internet, leading to lawsuits from artists and stock photo company Getty Images.
Semafor reported that Stability AI, a generative A.I. company that received a $100 million investment last year, is struggling financially. Other venture firms are considering backing out of investing more money, according to anonymous sources. The CEO intends to stay in his position, but the company may be looking to hire another executive.
