BlockBar is Set to Release the Midleton Very Rare The Pinnacle Vintage Whiskey NFT
In Brief
Blockbar is set to release the “Midleton Very Rare The Pinnacle Vintage” whiskey NFT
The Midleton Very Rare NFT will go for $130,000 and will be available on BlockBar starting from February 28.
Spirits-focused NFT marketplace BlockBar announces the upcoming release of the “Midleton Very Rare The Pinnacle Vintage” NFT.
The Midleton Very Rare is a bottle of Irish whiskey distilled in 1984. It has dark chocolate and green tea flavor followed by notes of vanilla, muscovado sugar, and honey-drizzled figs. Notably, this is the rarest single bottle of Midleton Very Rare ever produced, and BlockBar will only sell one flask of the unique spirit.
So, the marketplace will give collectors the possibility to own a physical bottle of the Midleton Very Rare and the non-fungible token that backs it. The NFT guarantees the product’s authenticity and allows the holder to trace the location of the physical item, which is now stored in BlockBar’s physical facility in Singapore.
The lucky NFT owner that decides to redeem the NFT for the IRL bottle will also receive a full-day tour at the Midleton Very Rare distillery.
The NFT will go for $130,000, which is approximately 78.71 ETH at the moment of writing. The collection will be available for mint starting February 28 at 10 AM EST. Notably, the minting will be conducted in a first-come-first-served mode.
Midleton Very Rare is the first Irish whiskey bottle to be sold on BlockBar. Before that, the NFT marketplace featured such spirits as PATRÓN tequila, limited-edition French cognac Hennessy, and Japanese whisky “The Last Masterpiece 1970,” among others. The NFT marketplace even partnered with Jack Daniels and Gary Vaynerchuk’s web3 company Vayner3 to release exclusive “ghost” whiskey sets.
