Sorare and Pranksy Partner for Private Free-to-Play Leagues
In Brief
Sorare and crypto influencer Pranksy launch a private free-to-play experience.
The games will allow players to win VIP Premier League tickets, merch, and NFTs.
Pseudonymous crypto influencer Pranksy partners with fantasy sports collectible card platform Sorare for private free-to-play experiences.
Pranksy is an investor, NFT collector, and creator of the NFT monthly subscription project, “NFT boxes,” and has 437,000 followers on Twitter.
The collaboration between the well-known platform and the influencer includes Pranksy’s investment in the website, as well as the release of a new experience, dubbed “Pranksy Plays.” It is already available on Sorare for free, and sports fans can access it without a MetaMask wallet or crypto ownership.
As part of the collaboration, Pranksy and Sorare have launched two private leagues. One league can be accessed free of charge, while the other requires Super Rare or Unique cards to participate.
The space includes NFT-backed applications and games, which allow users to win special prizes. For instance, lucky players can become the owners of VIP Premier League tickets, Sorare merchandise, and non-fungible tokens from the Pranksy vault. Sorare and Pranksy also give away a pair of VIP tickets to Liverpool versus Arsenal game on Sunday, April 9. To enter, individuals must join Sorare via Pranksy’s referral link and between their Twitter thread.
In addition to the release, Pranksy has announced the return of their Discord channel. The server will be used for news announcements and Sorare community discussions.
Before this, the fantasy sports collectible card platform partnered with Premier League for a fantasy soccer game, NBA for a basketball game, and MLB for an NFT baseball game.
