Snoop Dogg Launches NFTs That Unlock Exclusive Content From His Tour
In Brief
Snoop Dogg released “The Snoop Dogg Passport Series” NFT collection.
It gives holders access to exclusive content that will be created during the rapper’s upcoming tour.
The tokens go for 0.025 ETH.
Renowned rapper, entrepreneur, and NFT collector Snoop Dogg has announced the upcoming launch of his “Passport Series” NFT collectibles. According to the project’s website, the tokens are the first-ever “evolving digital tour collectibles.”
The NFTs grant holders access to VIP drops and exclusive content created during Snoop’s tour, which will take place from July 7 to October 21. The content will include behind-the-scenes videos and images taken by the rapper and his team.
“It’s like a tour poster that evolves with each place Snoop stops on tour,”
explains the project’s page.
In addition, Snoop Dogg will release a curated collection of non-fungible token artworks. The set, dubbed “Snoop Selects,” will be available for free to all Passport NFT holders. Among the first group of selected artists are Alien Queen, Terrell Lines, and Coldie. This part of the collection is scheduled to drop on July 7, along with the kickoff of Snoop’s tour. Passport NFTs will also grant holders access to future Snoop Dogg events, drops, and experiences.
The Snoop Dogg Passport Series tokens will go for 0.025 ETH, which is approximately $42 at the moment of writing. Notably, collectors can pay either with crypto or with a credit card. Credit card purchases are enabled by Crossmint and require email or phone entries. Individuals can already mint Passport NFTs on a dedicated website.
Snoop Dogg is not new to web3. In April this year, the rapper partnered with Gary Vaynerchuk’s NFT project VeeFriends to release a music track and an NFT-burning experience for fans. In March, Snoop announced “Shiller” – his upcoming web3 broadcast platform for creators. The application is aimed at artists, NFT projects, brands, and influencers. In October 2022, Dogg partnered with Astro Project to release a web3 music video dubbed “Crip Ya Enthusiasm.” The setting and the heroes of the clip were developed with the use of Unreal Engine.
