Sir Elton John says Roblox and the metaverse are perfect for the next stage of his life

Elton John has teamed up with Roblox for an immersive experience “Beyond the Yellow Brick Road,” which celebrates metaverse music and creators, as well as commemorates his final tour.
In an interview with Hype Bae, the beloved English musician said that through metaverse he can express his love of music, fashion, and enjoy the limitless creativity.
Elton John has joined forces with Roblox to offer fans a virtual experience entitled ‘Elton John Presents: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road.’ The legendary singer launched the metaverse experience on November 3, providing fans with an innovative way to listen to his music, express themselves through his fashion designs co-created with the community, and witness Elton’s impact on popular culture in a different way. The virtual experience also celebrates Elton John’s final tour, which will end in September 2023.
For an even more impressive performance, the 75-year-old musician dressed in some of his most iconic outfits, including the 1975 Dodger Stadium Show Uniform and the 1978 Muppet Show Chicken Suit. Elton John collaborated with Roblox designers, who digitalized the musician’s Hollywood Star green suit.
In an interview with Hype Bae, Elton John said that throughout his career, he’s always been looking for new ways to connect with his global fanbase.
“As I finish touring, Roblox and the metaverse are perfect for this next stage of my life; it’s a new, innovative way for me to express my love of music, fashion, and the limitless creativity that comes from both,”
Elton John said.
The musician commented that Roblox is inspirational because it’s limitless: “You can be as flashy or down-to-earth as you want to be.”
Over the years, Elton John has worn many extravagant costumes in his performances. He admits that it’s fun seeing the outfits reimagined in the virtual world. Roblox allows the musician’s fans to dress up in some of his most beloved looks.
“The creators we’ve worked with on “Beyond the Yellow Brick Road” are so talented and have made some of the most incredible looks; it’s so exciting to have the opportunity to relive some of the most incredible moments of my life with my family in a new and exciting way,”
John spoke about the collaboration with Roblox.
In June, Sir Elton John partnered with the AR platform Jadu and NFT company Sweet to launch an NFT collection to raise funds for his AIDS foundation.
