KIA launches new ad campaign featuring NFTs
Car manufacturer Kia America is launching a new campaign featuring NFTs. The release aims to highlight the uniqueness of the new 2023 Kia Soul.
The 30-second spot dubbed “Built for Whoever You Are” was created by California-based creative agency David&Goliath. The video incorporates QR codes which lead to exclusive Kia-themed NFTs. Individuals can scan a code and access one of 10,100 non-fungible tokens.
The artworks feature NFTs from The Dead Army Skeleton Klub, also known as “DASK.” In addition, the collection includes high-quality 3D computer-generated collectibles with more than 150 handcrafted features. Also, it’s worth noting that Kia’s new collection also contains special-edition generative DASK + Kia-themed NFTs.
The initiative is backed by the non-fungible token platform Sweet NFT. In February of this year, the platform partnered with Kia to release “Robo Dog” NFTs.
“We are truly proud to join forces again with such a recognizable brand to launch this unique collection for the general public. Above all, it’s a significant milestone for mass adoption since it marks the first NFT drop embedded into a national TV commercial. As such, it will be seen by millions of people, many of whom are experiencing the world of Web3 for the first time,” says the founder and CEO of Sweet, Tom Mizzone.
Car manufacturers are getting into the Web3 space. Chevy Corvette and Hyundai have released dedicated NFT collections, while Audi and Volkswagen are planning to bring VR experiences into their automobiles.
