Vogue Hong Kong partners with Clé de Peau Beauté and Krista Kim to release the first Metaverse cover
Vogue Hong Kong releases the first-ever Metaverse cover, featuring Krista Kim’s “The Mars House” digital world.
The digital project is actually a campaign created by Krista for Clé de Peau Beauté Japan, luxury skincare and makeup brand by Shiseido. The campaign focuses on physical perfection while celebrating female-driven innovation and empowerment.
The Mars House was produced in partnership with graphic design studio WearDigital, software developer Lotsa, and Metaverse ecosystem platform Arhead.io. Users can already visit the Metaverse location on Clé de Peau Beauté’s website.
“The Metaverse is a field of consciousness, where communities come together to have meaningful, authentic experiences that elevates human potential through education, health & wellness, and science at the intersection of art,”
tweeted Krista Kim about the project.
Krista Kim’s “The Mars House” is not Vogue’s first venture into the Metaverse. Earlier this month, the digital artist produced an immersive Metaverse experience for Vogue Singapore, for which she contributes as a Metaverse Editor. Additionally to the magazine, the Singapore division of the most influential fashion magazine developed a 3D world in partnership with Spatial, PolyCount.io, and Ready Player Me.
In April this year, Krista Kim partnered with luxury car manufacturer Lamborghini and well-known DJ Steve Aoki to develop the design of a one-of-one supercar NFT. The creator worked on the exterior design of the Last Aventador Coupé, while the DJ produced music that accompanied the non-fungible token.
