Sony is selling a scary Tiki head NFT to promote their new 3D display technology
Tech giant Sony introduced a “Tiki Guy” NFT as part of a new display promotion.
The artwork release follows Sony’s recent partnership with Theta Labs. In May this year, the companies presented the Spatial Reality Display (SRD). It reproduces images in three dimensions that can be viewed without special glasses or headsets. The display can be used in a wide range of applications. For example, the technology aims to help 3D content creators see what they are working as they design.
The “Tiki Guy” NFT comes with a digital 3D model which can be projected on the Spatial Reality Display. 500 NFTs are available for mint. The cost of one is $100. Users can either purchase the screen and get an NFT or mint the 10 limited-edition “Tiki Guy Packs” for $5,100.
The mint begins on Sony’s website today.
