Scottish Professional Football League to issue collectible NFT player cards
The Scottish Professional Football League will issue its first NFT collection in partnership with ToppsNFT.
The collection named “SPFL – 21-22 Shining Stars Digital Collectible NFT Cards” aims to celebrate the 2021-22 SPFL season, which brought victory for Celtic F.C.
Topps is an NFT marketplace focused on collectible cards. It features sports NFTs, comics, digital relics, and more. The platform allows users to explore and own NFT content, build collections, and engage with a global NFT community.
SPFL – 21-22 will feature a set of digital collectibles that picture players, club crests, and highlights of the matches with commentary from Paul Mitchell. “Shining Stars” includes 5,000 packs of the same type. Each one costs $25 and contains 7 collectibles, one of which is a video.
The rarity odds of the collection are the following: 45% of packs are common, 25% uncommon, 16% rare, 9% super rare, 4% epic, and 1% legendary.
“With some of Scotland’s biggest talent making headlines across Europe this past season, we wanted to commemorate an unforgettable year and release the SPFL’s first-ever NFT collectible card series,” said Roshan Patel, the Content Product Manager for Football at Topps Digital Sports & Entertainment.
The drop will be available for purchase on Topps’ website beginning the afternoon of June 15, 2022.
