Puma Teases Fans With Upcoming Web3 Initiative
In Brief
Puma teases fans with its upcoming web3 experience, Black Station.
The virtual venue will launch on June 13.
In addition, Puma will release limited-edition physical and digital items.
German sportswear giant Puma will release a new web3 experience on June 13, dubbed Black Station. The company has shared the news on its Discord server and its Twitter page dedicated to web3 initiatives.
According to the brand’s Twitter page, the virtual space will host bespoke digital experiences. The virtual world will feature an “ethereal city above the clouds” dubbed Unkai. When visiting the space, individuals may fly through the cityscape and experience a digital world unlike any other.
In addition to the experience itself, Puma will release limited-edition physical and digital items. However, the company has shared no details of the drop yet.
“There is a whole world to explore alongside limited edition physical and digital products you have to see to believe,” writes the company in a tweet.
Notably, this is not the first web3 initiative introduced by Puma. The brand launched its virtual space Black Station in September 2022. The 3D spatial playground currently features a futuristic lobby and three rooms that host immersive virtual fashion shows.
The metaverse venue aims to connect existing and potential consumers with the brand’s web3 activations, including ones that will come in the next years.
Puma is not the only sportswear brand to release web3 initiatives. In November 2022, Nike launched its web3 platform called .SWOOSH. Since then, the company has collaborated with RTFKT, developed a Footbellverse dubbed “NIKELAND,” and introduced its first NFT collection.
