NFT god game Apeiron launches NFT marketplace and reveals airdrop event
The first play-to-earn NFT god game announced a breakthrough for its Web3 ecosystem, the debut of an NFT marketplace exclusively for Apeiron gamers.
To celebrate the achievement, all users who open an account from September 7 to September 21 will be eligible for Apeiron’s next airdrop of the Battle Demo Pass, “Solar Fragment.”
The new marketplace will allow gamers to sell their Apeiron Planets and other in-game collectibles at agreed prices. Breeding and staking planets on the NFT platform will also be available for users.
Apeiron’s gameplay involves a card-based combat mode inspired by other non-blockchain games, such as Populous and Black & White. Players can construct planets and explore and battle others with their elemental avatars.
The Apeiron Team talked about the game’s features:
“Apeiron players will be able to grow their planet to the point of developmental stagnation, then reset the planetary cycle via an Armageddon Event that will allow for even more advancement and thrilling late-game alliance level GvE and GvG activities.”
Foonie Magus, a sub-brand of Aither Entertainment, is the developer team behind Apeiron. Aither is well known for its expert developers in the gaming industry.
In April, Apeiron secured a $17 million investment in a seed funding round to upscale the project. The company received support from South Korean blockchain investor Hashed and venture capital firms such as Spartan Group, DeFi Capital, Morningstar Ventures, and DeFiance Capital.
“The launch of our marketplace marks the beginning of a countdown, a countdown to the rebirth of God Games and the dawn of a new paradigm, where quality innovations begin revealing themselves in web3,”
Foonie Magus CEO and Apeiron creator Frank Cheng stated.
The NFT market is experiencing record lows in trading volume and sales, mainly due to the ongoing crypto winter. However, we continue to see crypto exchanges, platforms, games, and other Web3 companies create their marketplaces to interact with their community in a more personal and controlled manner. Projects also use funds from marketplaces to continuously upgrade features and gameplay and give back to their users.
