PROOF Collective Cancels its NFT Conference; Moonbirds Floorprice Goes Down

PROOF Collective cancels its PROOF of Conference event in Los Angeles
Individuals that planned to attend will get ticket and accommodation refunds
The community is not happy with the news and the floor price of Moonbirds goes down.
PROOF Collective, the company behind the blue-chip NFT collection Moonbirds, has just canceled its NFT Conference planned for this year due to low interest.
PROOF of Conference, the event in question, was supposed to take place in Los Angeles on May 11 to May 13. However, the community did not seem interested enough, so Moonbirds co-founder Kevin Rose and his team decided to cancel the event.
“Our aim was to set a new standard for what an NFT conference could be. Unfortunately, after several weeks of sales data, conversations with sponsors, and feedback from our community members, we have been forced to recognize that now is not the right time to achieve that vision,” explains the company on a dedicated web page, “We didn’t feel confident we would have a large enough audience to support the experiences we had planned.”
Moonbirds holders and the NFT community did not react well. The floor price of the NFTs went down from 7.1 ETH on February 18 to 6.5 ETH on February 21.
According to the official website, PROOF of Conference will not be rescheduled. However, individuals that purchased tickets and booked accommodation to attend the event will be refunded in ETH.
The official website of PROOF still features a list of future events, such as community meet-ups in different international cities. The organization also stated that it will add a Collective Lounge during NFT NYC on April 13 and will provide free-of-charge tickets to upcoming events.
In addition to the cancellation announcement, PROOF Collective mentioned the upcoming updates on Moonbirds initiatives.
