D-ID Introduces a New Chat API That Allows Users to Engage in Face-to-Face Conversations With AI
In Brief
Israeli generative AI company D-ID announces the launch of a new chat API to enable face-to-face conversations with an AI digital human.
The announcement was timed to coincide with Mobile World Congress, which is taking place in Barcelona this week.
The company offers the API to enterprises for branding and customer experience purposes.
Open AI’s ChatGPT has had a huge impact on the internet over the last few months, with the topic of AI constantly on everyone’s lips. Therefore, it’s unsurprising that generative AI technology company D-ID has looked into making interactions with AI more natural and decided to assist brands in exploiting popular technology.
According to D-ID, the GPT-3 and LaMDA large language models are changing how we interact with technology. We’re not far off from having our own personalized AI assistants and companions. D-ID has taken a step towards making technology more human by giving it a face and making the interaction more natural.
“I am very proud of D-ID, which continues to be at the cutting edge of the emerging generative AI industry,” said Gil Perry, CEO and co-founder of D-ID. “We are able to make technology more human by giving it a face and making the interaction more natural. Using our API, brands may be able to engage with customers in a more personal and interactive manner.”
The API launch is occurring at a time when D-ID, Adobe, and OpenAI are collaborating to develop a framework for ethical and responsible synthetic media development, creation, and sharing.
D-ID, an Israeli firm that utilizes artificial intelligence to create unique experiences like Deep Nostalgia, has launched a new chat API that enables face-to-face conversations with an AI digital human. Mobile World Congress (MWC) is taking place in Barcelona this week, and the firm is currently offering the API to enterprises for branding and customer experience purposes.
“An AI digital human is a human interface for conversational AI,” the firm said in a press release. “With their new real-time streaming capabilities and their text-to-video technology, clients can integrate the power of GPT-3 and LaMDA, large language models like which can be used to deploy interactive digital humans.”
