Tom Brady, Bitcoiner, equity stakeholder in FTX Trading

Tom Brady, one of the greatest football players of all time, began his NFL career with the New England Patriots, later becoming the team's starting quarterback as it won six Super Bowls and other illustrious titles. This earned him the moniker "the GOAT" from many fans. Brady spent 20 years with the Patriots, from 2000 to 2020, before agreeing to a $50 million contract to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who he also assisted in winning the Super Bowl.

More than 600 touchdown passes, never having a losing season, and being the first quarterback in NFL history to win a Super Bowl over three decades are just a few of Brady’s remarkable quarterback career records. Brady has more than 20 million fans on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter because to his football prowess and endearing demeanor. Due to his engagement with the FTX bitcoin exchange and his interest in using Bitcoin as a payment option for professional athletes, he also frequently shares articles about cryptocurrencies.

2023

Judges saw some of the first evidence presented to them as prosecutors brought a landmark fraud case against bitcoin pioneer Sam Bankman-Fried, including eye-catching ads starring football player Tom Brady.

Less than a year after Bankman-Fried invested millions of dollars on 2022 Super Bowl celebrity advertisements marketing FTX as the “safest and easiest way to buy and sell crypto,” Bankman-Fried became the focus of investigators when FTX collapsed last November amid a rush of customers trying to recover their deposits.

In a lawsuit, David and other celebrities, such as Brady and NBA player Stephen Curry, were accused of being responsible for the company’s unsuccessful business plan because of their notoriety.

2022

The quarterback, who had one of the longest NFL careers, said on February 1 that he will be leaving the game at the age of 44, despite earlier indications that he might play until 2024. Until the 2022 season, Brady’s deal with the Buccaneers was set, leading some to speculate that the organization would have made another hefty offer to keep the GOAT.

Brady will appear in an advertisement for FTX at Super Bowl LVI, which will take place in February 2022. However, it is unknown whether Brady will attend the game or appear on the jumbotron. He’ll probably be involved with the cryptocurrency exchange and the NFT platform Autograph for at least a few more years, if not more.

Should Brady continue to make headway in the industry and maintain his positive outlook on Bitcoin, he might usher in a period of increasing cryptocurrency adoption among celebrities and professional athletes. In January 2022, Autograph already raised $170 million in order to develop its Web3-focused operations. With a somebody like Brady supporting them, interest in NFTs might increase further.
