In Brief
Bang & Olufsen will launch its first NFT collection on November 29
NFT holders will get access to future drops and the Beoplay A9 speaker
One NFT will cost 0.469 ETH
Danish electronics company Bang & Olufsen is set to drop its first NFT collection.
Dubbed “The DNA collection,” it will feature 1925 artworks created in partnership with noted artists and musicians. The company tapped artists Shavonne Wong, Thomas Lin Pedersen, and the Italian duo Hackatao to work on the randomly-generated visuals for the collection.
Hackatao are among the earliest adopters of NFT art. The duo has previously partnered with NFT Studios to develop the Queens+Kings project, which was supported by the auction house Sotheby’s. Thomas Lin Pedersen is a Denmark-based generative artist that started creating digital artworks in 2017. Shavonne Wong is a 3D virtual model creator and a renowned digital artist who has partnered with Vogue, World of Women, and Sotheby’s.
The Bang & Olufsen DNA collection will also include soundtracks produced by RAC, Gramatik, and Luxas.
Along with the artworks, lucky NFT holders will get access to Bang & Olufsen’s future drops and will have a chance to buy a limited-edition Beoplay A9 physical speaker.
The pre-sale starts on November 29, at 5 PM CET, while the public sale will launch on November 30. One DNA NFT will go for 0.469 ETH (approximately $550 at the time of writing). Notably, the tokens will be sold in a “blind sale,” and the artworks will be revealed on December 6.
