Mytaverse Integrates Dolby.io to Create Realistic Sound in the Metaverse
In Brief
Enterprise metaverse company Mytaverse is integrating Dolby.io to create realistic sound in virtual environments.
Mytaverse’s clients include Zaha Hadid Architects, PepsiCo, and Dassault Aviation.
Besides audio, Dolby.io will deliver HD and 4k video streams into the virtual world within Mytaverse.
Mytaverse, an enterprise metaverse company, has integrated Dolby.io to create realistic sound in virtual environments.
With the integration of Dolby.io, users will be able to experience immersive sound in Mytaverse’s virtual spaces, replicating how sound changes as one moves around. For instance, if a user walks away from an avatar, the voice will become lower, and if they move towards a speaker and turn their head, the sound orientation on the speaker will change.
Besides providing an immersive audio experience, Mytaverse is leveraging Dolby.io’s real-time streaming capabilities to ensure seamless virtual world immersion. Dolby.io will be used to deliver HD and 4k video streams, enabling live streaming and high-quality virtual events within Mytaverse.
“Everyone thinks of the metaverse as a visual experience, but the soundscape is just as important to delivering immersive experiences to our enterprise customers, who want to work in realistic virtual environments,”
Mytaverse co-founder and CTO Jaime Lopez said in a statement.
Founded in 2020 by Kenneth Landau and Jaime Lopez, Mytaverse is a cloud-based platform that offers enterprise clients 3D-immersive, multiplayer workplace environments. Some of the company’s core solutions include simulations, conferences, and showrooms. Customers can use the platform’s pre-built spaces or customize their own three-dimensional environments based on their business needs.
Mytaverse offers workspaces ranging from simple meeting pods for smaller gatherings all the way to interactive boardrooms for larger groups and everything in between. Tradeshows and conferences can also be held on the platform’s pre-built or bespoke spaces that are built to scale based on large exhibition halls. Companies can onboard new employees and train them in realistic simulated environments.
Major companies, including Zaha Hadid Architects, PepsiCo, and Dassault Aviation, are some of Mytaverse’s clients that are already using the platform for 3D content collaboration in virtual spaces.
