Today at its annual developer’s conference, Microsoft has shown off a new AI-powered browser the company believes will change how we search the web. Microsoft’s search engine Bing is getting a makeover—it is now powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT algorithm and is designed to provide more relevant search results by understanding the user’s intent.

Microsoft has just the new version of its new Edge browser, now powered by an updated ChatGPT. The new search engine is said to be more powerful than previous versions, better responsive to queries, and able to provide more up-to-date information.

Microsoft says that the current search paradigm, which relies on keywords, is no longer effective. Bing will instead focus on understanding the user’s intent in order to provide more relevant results.

In a demo, the search engine was even able to answer questions about its own launch by linking to news published in the last hour! Microsoft says the new Bing will launch today “for a limited preview,” and users will be able to try a limited number of requests before signing up for full access in the future.

For example, if you search for “restaurants near me,” Bing will not only provide a list of nearby restaurants but information on the types of food they serve, their average prices, and other relevant information.

With this new browser, users will be able to search the web using natural language. This means that instead of having to type in specific keywords, you can simply ask a question, and the ChatGPT-powered AI will understand your intent and provide you with the best answer possible.

The ChatGPT-powered AI browser is available in 100 languages and is immediately built into the Edge browser. This new Bing directly corrects the code in the Edge browser and will aid in the fight against bullying in schools. It will sidestep queries potentially related to school shootings.

Today, Microsoft added ChatGPT to the Bing search engine. The neural network answers questions and offers queries. We found out here that it offers amazingly accurate requests. Indeed, this is exactly what the people need. The neural network will not advise bad things, right, Microsoft?

Microsoft also displayed other settings of the “new Bing,” as it is known. One of them displays conventional search results alongside AI annotations (top), and the other mode enables users to ask queries of the Bing chatbot directly through a standard chat interface like ChatGPT (bottom).

Microsoft is introducing two new AI-enhanced capabilities for its Edge browser in addition to the new Bing interface: “chat” and “compose.” The Edge sidebar will contain them embedded.

While “Compose” serves as a writing helper, helping to generate text—from emails to social media posts—based on a few initial prompts, “Chat” enables users to summarize the web page or document they are viewing and ask questions about its content.

Previously, search engines have been limited to returning results based on keywords that were entered by the user. However, ChatGPT is able to understand the context of the search and return results that are more relevant to the user’s needs. For example, if you were searching for information on planning a trip to Mexico, the old version of Bing would return results that were related to travel in general. However, the new version of Bing is able to understand that you are looking for specific information on travel to Mexico and return results accordingly.

How Internet search will change:

  • The new Bing offers helpful directions; there is no longer a need to peruse dozens of links when searching for a specific answer, for instance, “Mexico travel recommendations”;
  • The new Bing can create a “meal plan for a family of four with vegetarian options and for people who don’t like nuts”; there won’t be links in the typical form; initially, the company plans to mix familiar links with answers to AI questions.
  • For a vacation, it will gather all the necessary information: the travel route with hotels, cost, and pitfalls.
  • Have you found a 15-page PDF and want to take the key points out of it? The new Bing completes the task in a few seconds.
  • The new Bing will eventually be incorporated into Windows as an assistant;

There is also bad news. The Microsoft conference ended with this:

  • Do you intend to include advertising in the new Bing? – Advertising will begin on the first day.

We would like to believe that advertising will not occupy the first ten pages of search results, as Google sometimes does. Otherwise, Microsoft did not disappoint: The new Bing could radically change search. Google has apparently been preparing its answer for several months. In the end, we all win.

And here is the request for people who want to see how it will all look: “Show me a list of the most significant Grammy award winners from 2023.” The answer is summarized by AI after it searches for results, highlighting the key takeaways and offering resources for additional research.
As a result, we can say that 1. This is not ChatGPT (he has no knowledge of 2023), and 2. This is network data processing, an independent and interesting model. 3. Links to primary sources are used to support the findings. It appears quite practical.

The ChatGPT-powered AI browser is the latest in a long line of innovation from Microsoft. With this new browser, Microsoft is leading the charge in making the internet a more user-friendly place. With the release of the new ChatGPT-powered AI browser, Microsoft is bringing the power of artificial intelligence to the internet.

The new Bing is available now here, but Microsoft is rolling it out gradually, so you may not be able to use it straight away.

  • There will be a broadcast with Google about their large language models and new AI things in search, maps, etc., in 16 hours since Google is very upset at the popularity of ChatGPT and the integration of OpenAI into Microsoft.
