Netflix builds The Gray Man experience in Decentraland
Netflix has recreated The Gray Man experience in Decentraland to promote its new blockbuster action movie starring Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.
The Latin American division of Netflix partnered with Decentraland Foundation and Electric Factory to develop a virtual adventure based on the movie’s plot. Decentraland users and movie fans can participate in “The Gray Man Metaverse Mission.” Players will have to enter the maze as fast as possible. The project’s website explains the game:
“Your mission: find the fountain in the maze and retrieve the USB with classified information, then get to the secret room to check your personal time and collect your rewards.”
Additionally, the game tests the player’s knowledge of the movie. Winners also have the opportunity to receive wearables featured in the film. For instance, Sierra Six’s jacket, which is suitable for all the needs of the Agent; Miranda’s Bob, which also includes a hairdo; and Lloyd’s Trash Stance. This will enable players to select their avatars’ wearables based on the character’s outfits in the movie.
“There is so much opportunity that Web3 offers the world of entertainment, especially when it comes to immersive storytelling and audience engagement,” said the senior business developer at The Electric Factory, Diego Alvarez.
In the past week, the Decentraland Metaverse has also partnered with Transak payment and Metaverse Architects studio to introduce the first ATM in the virtual world.
Moreover, the platform hosted the first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week in March this year, featuring such brands as Dolce&Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more.
