Prada to drop another Timecapsule NFT collection
Following success with the TimeCapsule NFT collection issued in June, Italian fashion house Prada announced the official date of Drop #31, which will take place on July 7, 2022.
The drop will include gifted NFTs and two limited-edition physical products made of upcycled fabrics from the Prada archives.
The first piece is a shirt in black color pipeline matched with the Holliday & Brown tulip print on a cotton poplin base. The second item is made of a “Jacquard Animalier” silk brocade and lurex fabric with a Jacquard Thrush, a silk fabric produced from an early 20th-century French archive. The release follows the brand’s sustainability strategy and approach to circular thinking.
The NFT artworks will feature a GIF of the capsule video that represents the digital version of the physical item.
Prada continues expanding its Web3 presence. The company first launched the TimeCapsule project in December 2019 and it takes place on the first Thursday of each month. Individuals can participate online for 24 hours. In June this year, Prada issued Drop #30 — a limited-edition TimeCapsule NFT collection in collaboration with Cassius Hirst, which has since completely sold out.
The brand’s website features a dedicated section called “Prada Crypted” and a Discord channel. Users can join to discover future drops and updates.
