Dolce&Gabbana, inBetweeners, and UNXD unveil the “Drip” NFT collection
In Brief
Dolce&Gabbana partners with NFT project inBetweeners and UNXD to release a 2,000-piece NFT collection
The artworks will be backed by physical garment from D&G’s vault
The minting starts on December 13, at 3 PM EST
Luxury Italian brand Dolce&Gabbana partners with NFT project inBetweeners and fashion-focused NFT marketplace UNXD to launch the “Drip Collection.”
inBetweeners is a collection of 10,777 hand-drawn bears created by Italian graphic artist GianPiero. The visual creative has been collaborating with Dolce&Gabbana for a while; for instance, he created designs featured in the brand’s SS’22 womenswear collection earlier this year.
The upcoming Drip collection will include 2,000 NFT artworks by GianPiero. Every image features a bear dressed in D&G clothes and accessories. The best part of the release is that every non-fungible token is backed by a physical item from the brand’s vault. So, starting from 2023, NFT holders will have the option to redeem their tokens for Dolce&Gabbana’s IRL fashion pieces.
Owners will receive one of the 21 fashion items drawn on their bears, from hoodies and jackets to backpacks and caps. In addition, the brand’s fans will receive authenticated physical signed prints corresponding to the artworks that they own.
Drip Collection goes live on December 13, at 3 PM EST, exclusively on the OpenSea marketplace. The prices will be announced during the drop.
The collaborative NFT collection is not Dominico and Stefano’s first step into the web3 space. In April this year, the designer duo released 3,786 DGFamily Boxes NFTs in partnership with UNXD. The tokens function as tiered membership to the brand’s universe and give holders access to digital and physical privileges. In June, Dolce&Gabbana also presented the D&G Genesi nine-piece NFT collection in The Decentral Art Pavillion.
