LOVO Unveils Its V2 LLM-Powered AI Speech Model for L&D Professionals
LOVO rolled out its 2nd-generation LLM-powered AI speech model and a list of new features for corporate teams and L&D professionals. This news comes in the heels of Elevenlabs’ launch out of beta, fueling the fire to the race to be the industry leader in Text-to-Speech.
LOVO, an AI Voice Generator for corporate L&D teams and education professionals, stated that the new model improved voices in terms of quality and consistency, and allows text to speech conversion that is up to 25% faster than its previous model. The v2 model was trained on 100,000+ hours of speech, with a portion of data dedicated specifically to vocal characteristics preferred for uses in corporate training, L&D, and e-learning materials. This feat was achieved over months of research and development by LOVO’s team of AI engineers, along with the help of linguists and audio experts. Since the unveiling, voices have been upgraded in batches to ensure proper quality assessment so that no learning and development sessions are ruined by off-tone robotic voices.
To utilize the newly enhanced voice options, users can simply choose the voice of their liking and input text to generate speech, as they’ve been doing so before.
The showcasing of the v2 LLM speech model is preceded by the launches of LOVO API, which allows users to integrate LOVO’s state-of-the-art AI Voice Generator service with their existing software or build an app using its TTS capabilities, and Unlimited Voice Cloning that allows users to create digital clones of their voices by providing just seconds of speech data, both of which occurred in July.
However, the one major update for L&D professionals using LOVO, aside from the model upgrade, are the Team Features. “Every new release is a milestone, but I’m particularly excited about Team Features coming soon”, added Tom Lee, co-founder of LOVO. “Real-time in-project commenting, team collaboration, generation credit sharing, dashboard, analytics, and other offerings that can empower the individual contributor and bring out collective synergies in the broader L&D teams – or marketing, or really, any team that creates content”.
The beta version of Team Features is set to be available at the end of September. As Lee mentions, it will grant team members to view, comment, and edit each other’s separate projects in real-time or collaborate on various team projects, share available speech generation credits, and give admin access to the dashboard for usage analyses.
LOVO asserts that it will continue providing features to empower individual creators and teams alike. On the roadmap are project templates for users to get off the ground running, automatic dubbing in 100+ languages for easy localization global dispersion, subtitle customization for branding and added storytelling, and granular video editing for those looking to get more hands-on with their video production.
Since officially launching in February, LOVO has attracted over 1 million users across e-learning, marketing, creative, and entertainment industries, and is quickly expanding its presence worldwide.
