ImmutableX Prepares to Launch Immutable Passport for Web3 Gaming
In Brief
ImmutableX has introduced a Web3 gaming passport to simplify blockchain adoption to companies and gamers.
Immutable Passport will launched in April, with new features potentially added after the release.
Web3 gaming platform ImmutableX will release the Immutable Passport in April, an all-in-one solution for gaming studios that onboard gamers into web3.
The Immutable Passport provides players with a set of integrated tools, including a secure digital wallet, anti-fraud measures, and easy authentication for web3 games and marketplaces. This will help web3 gaming companies attract mainstream players, maintain top-level security, and gain insights into player behavior. Studios that use the passport will also have access to a player base through the ImmutableX ecosystem.
The passport aims to simplify the process for gamers with password-free sign-in and automatic wallet creation. The company believes that this will accelerate the mainstream adoption of web3. The solution also improves asset distribution, which will contribute to the growth of the Web3 gaming industry globally.
“For Web3 gaming to reach a billion players, onboarding must be invisible, secure and work across any game – mobile, console or desktop,”
said Immutable president and co-founder Robbie Ferguson.
The features of the Immutable Passport include the following:
- Seamless player onboarding – players can log in to web3 games using just an email and OTP;
- Safe storage – players can choose between the built-in Immutable wallet or their own one. The Immutable wallet ensures players have full control over their assets and keys;
- Connect to other players and marketplaces;
- Frictionless purchases – passport provides a wide range of payment options;
- Easy scalability;
- Passport Guardian – smart heuristics and machine learning technology triggers 2FA for transactions;
- Speedy integration.
In December, Metaverse Game Studios announced the launch of the Web3 game Angelic on ImmutableX. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and features a dark sci-fi-themed RPG with different player modes. Angelic is currently in the alpha test phase, with a public launch scheduled for the second quarter of 2023.
