Hidden NFTs in Love Death + Robots
Netflix series “Love, Death + Robots” hides exclusive NFTs in the episodes.
“Love, Death & Robots” is an Emmy-winning animated anthology produced by Tim Miller and David Fincher. This horror and science-fiction show, while not recommended to sensitive viewers, promotes the eery mixture of beauty, terror, and imagination.
There’s a special, NFT twist to the newest season, though. Season three contains hidden QR codes. Fans can encounter a total of nine codes, concealed across the show, its socials, physical billboards, and digital platforms. Every artwork reflects the series’ episodes.
Each hidden QR code leads to one NFT. When scanning a code, fans will get to the website with “Love, Death & Robots” visuals. Viewers can download the animations for free, in an old-fashioned “right-click save” way. Those who decide to mint will only have to pay the gas fee of the Ethereum network and will need Metamask or Coinbase Wallet to do so.
“The choice is yours, human,” says the welcome page of the project.
Individuals can also purchase these NFTs on OpenSea. The current floor price of the collection is 0.002 ETH (approximately $40).
The third season of “Love, Death & Robots” launched on Friday, May 20. At the moment, the fans have only unblocked three codes. If you want to check them out, the artworks are available on the show’s official website.
Neither the producers of the series nor Netflix will earn from the sales.
