The Sandbox Partners With Cipriani For a Virtual Version of Harry’s Bar
In Brief
The Sandbox partners with Cipriani to introduce a virtual version of Harry’s Bar in Venice.
Players will have the opportunity to attend a masquerade ball, concerts, and fashion shows, as well as discover the original recipe of Bellini.
Metaverse platform The Sandbox partners with iconic luxury restaurant and hospitality company Cipriani to launch a virtual version of Venice’s Harry’s Bar. The latter is a legendary restaurant and bar that was established by Giuseppe Cipriani in 1931. Back then, the bar was a gathering place of artists, writers, painters, aristocrats, and royalty. The new metaverse initiative aims to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of Harry’s Bar.
As of today, the location, as well as the Italian Bellini cocktail, is famous all over the world. Cirpiani’s new luxury virtual experience will enable The Sandbox players to experience the atmosphere of these places. The virtual Harry’s Bar experience will host a masquerade ball, concerts, and fashion shows. More than that, players will have the possibility to walk the streets of voxel Venice and find out about its rich history. In addition, users will discover the recipe of Bellini, which was created in Venice.
According to the official announcement, the interactive experience will be accompanied by a non-fungible token collection drop.
Cipriani established its LAND in the Galleria neighborhood in December 2022. This “glamorous” area of The Sandbox’s map also hosts TIME Magazine, L’Officiel magazine, and Paris Hilton. The new luxury virtual experience will be available with the arrival of The Sandbox’s Alpha Season 4.
“We’re delighted to bring iconic Italian history into The Sandbox to further enrichen our players’ experiences. In designing a metaverse for such a diverse audience, we have the unique opportunity to represent nationalities and cultures from around the world, enabling us to connect with our players at a deeper level than traditional games,”
said the COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget.
The Sandbox metaverse hosts a variety of brands and celebrities’ virtual spaces. For instance, the world-known men’s magazine Playboy celebrated its 69th birthday in a virtual location of the “California Dreamin” area of the map. Paris Hilton introduced her “Parisland,” while professional skater Tony Hawk developed the world’s largest virtual skating park.
