Taco Bell introduces a Metaverse Wedding Package
American fast food chain Taco Bell introduces the first-ever Metaverse Wedding Package. This fall, one lucky couple will have a chance to get married inside the Metaverse.
The location is a replica of Taco Bell’s wedding chapel in Las Vegas, just this one is in a 3D virtual platform, Decentraland.
The couple will also be able to invite guests to the ceremony as more people can get access to the virtual wedding experience. More than that, other Decentraland users will be able to walk in and participate in the event. The romantic experience will have all the elements of a traditional wedding: the exchanging of vows, rings, a first dance, music, and more.
U.S.-based couples can apply from August 25 until September 6. Pairs that complete the registration form and submit a video about their love story will have a chance to win a virtual legal wedding in the Metaverse. Individuals can share their videos on social media, tagging Taco Bell.
Taco Bell is not new to innovative weddings: five years ago, the restaurant first introduced its real-life wedding package. From 2017, Taco Bell organized events in the Las Vegas Cantina, where 777 couples have gotten legally married. Taco Bell metaverse weddings are just the next step.
“By bringing the Metaverse wedding to life and adding layers of the brand’s Live Más mentality, the couple and attendees will be able to up the ante on their love for each other and the brand they love too. In the age of swiping for love, Taco Bell’s Metaverse wedding will allow one couple to take part in the voyage of what may well be the next evolution of modern love – and we’re proud to be leading the charge,”
said Taco Bell’s Chief Brand Officer, Sean Tresvant.
So, if you love Taco Bell and are planning to get married, perhaps the Taco Bell wedding in the Metaverse is something for you.
