Gucci and Vans Team Up to Create Unique Virtual Experience on Roblox
In Brief
Italian fashion house Gucci has collaborated with activewear brand Vans to create a unique metaverse experience on Roblox.
Gucci Town and Vans World serve as the focal point, with players able to travel between the two to unlock unique digital goods and gaming content.
Two iconic fashion brands, Gucci and Vans, have joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind metaverse experience on Roblox. With Gucci Town and Vans World being the focal point, players can traverse between the two to unlock unique digital goods and gaming content. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the ever-evolving intersection of fashion and the metaverse.
Designed like a scavenger hunt, players will transport from Gucci Town into Vans World through shoe boxes to hunt for swatches. The result of finding all the pieces is either a shoe or a skateboarding-inspired backpack, which can be styled on the player’s Roblox character for free.
The virtual worlds encapsulate the essence of each brand, with Gucci’s signature iconography and graphics and Vans’ footwear and materials, including its iconic checkerboard print.
Gucci and Vans’ collaboration on Roblox is an extension of their recent physical sneaker collaboration, Gucci Continuum x Vans, which was launched on Gucci Vault. The Gucci Vault is the brand’s experimental division that features its vintage and Web3 projects. The digital shoes available in Roblox mirror the design of the physical Gucci Continuum drop.
Starting today, Roblox users can participate in the new scavenger hunt within Gucci Town and Vans World until May 13.
The Italian fashion house launched Gucci Town last May, featuring mini-games where players can earn GG Gems and a virtual store to purchase and try on clothing for their avatars. Vans opened Vans World, an immersive skateboarding metaverse, in September 2021.
