Web3 brand Doodles announces the acquisition of Golden Wolf, the Emmy-nominated animation studio behind Adult Swim’s “Rick & Morty.” The London and New York-based studio is a big player in the industry that has previously worked with Facebook, Nike, Disney, Adult Swim, and Gatorade.
This is a big move for Doodles, which has been on a mission to become the go-to creative studio for all things web3. The acquisition of Golden Wolf will help the brand cement its position as a leading creative voice in the web3 space and enable Doodles to furtherly create catchy characters, build colorful worlds, and develop narrative storytelling. To start, the companies will collaborate to create content. Following this, they might develop original series, product marketing assets, and video games.
As part of the acquisition, Doodles will collaborate with Golden Wolf’s strategic partner Psyop to launch a joint venture, Active Ingredient. The companies plan to use artificial intelligence and blockchain to develop new tools and techniques.
Doodles is a blue-chip NFT project featuring 10,000 colorful generative artworks. The collection was launched by Evan Keast, Scott Martin, and Jordan Castro in October 2021. Since then, the company has introduced a variety of partnerships and exciting releases for the community.
In June 2022, Doodles received $54 million from Alexis Ohanian’s VC firm Seven Seven Six. The project is currently valued at $704 million. The NFT collection itself has generated 155,584 ETH of total volume since 2021. Its current floor price is 7.988 ETH (approximately $12,972 at the time of writing).
