Japanese brand Sanrio and RECUR release 10,000 Hello Kitty NFTs
World-known Japanese brand Sanrio partners with NFT experience studio RECUR to introduce the first “Hello Kitty” NFT collection.
RECUR creates innovative multi-chain collections and has already got some experience in creating toy-themed NFTs. The company released a Nickelodeon-themed collection as well as Care Bears NFTs.
“Hello Kitty and Friends World” features 10,000 hand-drawn profile picture-styled artworks of the character and five of her friends.
The collection pictures beloved characters in eight iconic worldwide locations. NFTs will grant holders access to digital adventures in different cities, which host various challenges. Following this, participants will have the opportunity to earn surprise digital collectibles. It’s worth noting that the RECUR Pass Holders will also have access to two exclusive competitions.
“We’re thrilled to create a platform for all Hello Kitty fans, old and new, to take flight and experience the Metaverse through Hello Kitty and Friends World. Our goal is to provide a community where fans can interact and explore the Metaverse with brands and IPs they love. We can’t wait to bring that to life for Sanrio fans across the globe,”
said RECUR Founder and CEO, Zach Bruch.
The pre-sale of Hello Kitty NFTs took place on August 24, while the public sale of the collection starts today at 2 PM ET. At the moment of writing, the floor price of “Hello Kitty and Friends World” is 9.9 ETH (approximately $16,830).
