DressX couture featured on the cover of L’OFFICIEL Metaverse issue
DressX outfits are featured on the covers of the Metaverse issues of L’OFFICIEL USA, L’OFFICIEL Paris, and L’OFFICIEL Italia.
L’OFFICIEL is a French fashion magazine that celebrated its 100th-anniversary last year and has recently debuted in the Metaverse by acquiring a virtual plot in The Sandbox. The newest issue features digital couture, talks about Metaverse, and discusses possible interconnections between technology and fashion.
Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova, the founders of a digital fashion multi-brand store DressX, discuss their views on technology, sustainability, and fashion in L’OFFICIEL Metaverse issue.
“Fashion has always been cyclical, but technology is opening new doors for how we dress,” say the creators of the platform.
To develop the digital couture pieces for the covers, DressX studied L’OFFICIEL’s archives. Christian Dior and Christobal Balenciaga creations inspired the first piece of the collection; the second look paid tribute to Molyneux and Madeleine Vionnet, and the third piece—to Coco Chanel and Jean Patou.
Users can now try on the items on the DressX website and App. All three pieces featured on the magazines’ covers cost $100.
Previous DressX collaborations include a corner in the French multi-brand store Printemps and a digital jeans collection with American Eagle Outfitters. The company has also released digital fashion items for Roblox and became one of the LVMH Innovation Award finalists.
