Bose and Warner Records UK team to launch new NFT collection
Audio equipment company Bose and Warner Records UK are partnering to create a limited-edition NFT collection. The two collaborated with Stickman Toys to issue 5,000 audio-visual NFTs.
The collection features Bose-themed hand-painted characters with different rarity scores. In addition, every NFT also includes an exclusive 30-second music audio. Importantly, holders will be able to commercialize both the audio part and the artwork of the NFTs.
“Warner Records is the first-ever major label to give ownership of the IP. Collectors will own the underlying copyright, along with a worldwide, royalty-free license to commercialize the audio and visual product. You’re only limited by your imagination,” states the website of Stickmen Toys.
NFT holders will also have the opportunity to claim exclusive Bose x Stickmen Toys merchandise. In addition, collectors of rare Bose characters can claim free 1/1 edition Bose x Stickmen Toys hardware: QuietComfort® 45 headphones or SoundLink Flex Bluetooth® speakers. It’s worth noting that Probably Nothing worked on the design of 50 rare characters, providing creative direction.
“We are excited to be collaborating with Warner Records. I was attracted to this project for how unique its utilities of IP rights are. You rarely see projects that combine both music and design and never see them coming out of major record labels, especially for free. My goal is to bridge the gap between Web3 and the next billion people to enter the space by onboarding them the right way, so offering this drop for free is a home run,” says the founder of Probably Nothing, Jeremy Fall.
All holders will have access to “The Playground” – the Stickmen Toys community that gives access to real-life events, priority spots for future Warner Records NFT drops, streetwear, and physical collectibles.
“NFTs present a powerful extension of the artist-to-fan relationship, giving people the opportunity to invest in an artist’s future success and providing them value along the way,” says Seb Simone, the Vice President, Audience & Strategy at Warner Records UK.
The collection will be free to mint. The date is to be announced. Revenue generated from secondary sales will go to the artists’ support.
