The Ethereum Name Service was first released in May 2017. In the last year, ENS exploded in popularity and usage, going from 242,000 names to 1.4 million. Individuals can create domains on the official website or purchase them from the secondary market. The current floor price of a domain name on Opensea is 0.007 ETH ($8). 41.5K of total volume was traded.
In May this year, 3- 4- and 5-digit domain names gained popularity. At the moment of writing, the floor price of a 3-digit domain is 35.873 ETH.
The trend was followed by Arabic and Chinese numbers, which are also sold out.
