Multi-brand digital fashion marketplace DressX announced its partnership with a million-subscriber YouTube and TikTok star Mackenzie Turner. Together, they will release an exclusive digital fashion collection for the Roblox metaverse.
The drop aims to enable Mackenzie’s followers to dress up in her signature style on Roblox. The collection features three digital fashion wearables in three colorways. This includes a cotton candy bomber jacket, a heart-shaped fanny bag, and the “Cuties” necklace. Notably, the latter was developed with Roblox’s Layered Clothing technology, which enables brands to create hyper-realistic 3D clothing. One of the perks of this technology is that it allows avatars of any body type to wear whatever they choose. The color palette of the collection features bright pink, purple, and blue items that match Mackenzie Turner’s distinctive style and eccentric personality.
In addition to these pieces, DressX and Mackenzie Turner offer their followers a limited number of “Cuties” studded water bottle accessories. Players can claim the item for free on Roblox.
Turner launched her Roblox-focused YouTube channel in 2020. Today, it features over 1.8 million subscribers across different platforms. Mackenzie has also released her physical merchandise line dubbed “Hey Cuties.”
Players can already purchase the virtual items in the Roblox Avatar Shop. The Cuties necklace goes for 50 Robux (approximately $0.63 at the moment of writing), the heart-shaped fanny pack – for 55 Robux, and the puffer jacket for 60 Robux.
“I am extremely happy to join forces with DRESSX, bringing my merchandise to life in the digital space. There could be nothing more exciting than getting my favorite ‘Hey Cuties’ looks on Roblox, allowing my fans and supporters to explore Roblox’s shared experiences through my lens,” said Mackenzie Turner.
DressX has recently released other wearable collections for the metaverse. In January this year, the platform partnered with luxury fashion brand Dundas to bring its designs to the virtual world of Roblox.
