DJ and Producer Agoria Is Set to Release Music NFTs
In Brief
DJ and producer Agoria is set to release an NFT song, allowing holders to earn rewards.
The track will be launched on June 7 during the Non-Fungible Conference in Lisbon.
Agoria, a well-known French DJ, producer, artist, and the founder of the record label Sapiens, is honoring his fans with the launch of an unconventional token of appreciation. In honor of Agoria’s community, called “Agorians,” Agoria is offering a shared royalty stake on his upcoming record.
The artist’s fans could already hear the song in Ibiza. However, the artist will release the track officially on June 7 during the Non-Fungible Conference in Lisbon. According to Agoria’s tweet, the event will feature an open bar for his fans.
Notably, the artist partnered with Bolero, a blockchain-based music platform, to release this initiative. Using the new “Song Shares” feature on Bolero, the producer will give fans the possibility to earn rewards. The initiative will be available for individuals that hold NFTs of the song. Most of the Agorians Song Shares are allocated to the biggest holders of the musician’s NFTs based on Ethereum and Tezos. The remaining 10% will go to the song’s NFT holders. Individuals wishing to participate in the initiative must first register on Bolero and link their wallets.
The growth of Bolero has raised significantly since the launch of Song Shares. According to Decrypt, the platform has exceeded its 2022 figures.
Agoria is not the only music producer and DJ to release his music in an NFT format. In April this year, Gala Music partnered with music producer Larry Dvoskin and publisher Warner Chappell Music to launch a limited-edition NFT collection featuring an unreleased version of David Bowie’s 1983 song “Let’s Dance.” In February, NFT marketplace AnotherBlock released tokens of Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” hit. “BBHMM” NFT holders receive a 0.0033% royalty whenever the master recording of the song streams.
