Diesel and HAPE Drop a Collaborative NFT Collection
In Brief
Diesel and HAPE’s NFT collection goes live on February 15, at 7 AM EST
NFT holders will get access to exclusive benefits and will receive the brand’s iconic 1DR POD crossbody bag.
Diesel, the Italian fashion brand known for its edgy, streetwear-inspired clothing, drops an NFT collection in collaboration with blockchain startup HAPE. The collection, coming on February 15, consists of 2,048 digital artworks featuring apes styled with Diesel clothing.
The tokens, co-created by Diesel’s creative director Glenn Martens and the creator of HAPE, Digimental, will give holders access to various physical and digital benefits. NFT owners will become part of the community and have the opportunity to visit special digital and physical events, receive discounts, get early access to sales, and preview new collections. But most importantly, individuals will receive the limited-edition version of Diesel’s iconic 1DR POD crossbody bag.
The minting opens on February 15 at 7 AM EST for Hape AL and D:Verse-Key AL holders. This group of individuals has a guaranteed mint for 0.2 ETH (approximately $310 at the time of writing).
Following, starting at 1 PM EST, Hape, D:Verse-Key holders and partner projects can mint the NFTs for 0.25 ETH. The public mint starts at 4 PM EST, with the non-fungible tokens going for 0.25 ETH.
“Together we are building the future of fashion through shared creative vision, capabilities, and community activation. Partnering with Diesel reflects our strategic focus on collaboration and the potential for Web2 and Web3 brands to join forces to innovate together, creating new experiences and opportunities for consumers and brands alike,”
said the founder of HAPE, Digimental.
This is the first time Diesel has released an NFT collection. The collection is a way for Diesel to experiment with new technologies and attract a younger audience, as many fashion brands already do. For instance, luxury brand Prada monthly releases its “TimeCapsule” NFT collection, giving holders access to exclusive physical garments.
