Dell Technologies and NVIDIA Join Forces to Provide Infrastructure for Businesses to Deploy Generative AI Models On-premises

Leveraging Dell and NVIDIA infrastructure and software, coupled with technical expertise and pre-built tools, Project Helix will deliver a series of full-stack solutions.
Dell Technologies and NVIDIA have announced Project Helix, a joint initiative that aims to simplify the process for enterprises to build and deploy reliable generative AI systems.
The joint initiative will leverage Dell and NVIDIA infrastructure and software. Coupled with technical expertise and pre-built tools, Project Helix will deliver a series of full-stack solutions that will enable businesses to deliver better customer service, market intelligence, and enterprise search using generative AI models. It includes a complete blueprint to help enterprises use their proprietary data and deploy generative AI more easily, responsibly, and accurately.
Supporting the generative AI lifecycle, Project Helix will provide solutions ranging from infrastructure provisioning, modeling, training, fine-tuning, application development and deployment, to deploying inference and streamlining results. A tested combination of optimized hardware and software from Dell will be included as part of the initiative.

Dell PowerEdge servers, including the PowerEdge XE9680 and PowerEdge R760xa, have been specifically designed to optimize performance for generative AI training and AI inferencing tasks. These servers, when combined with NVIDIA® H100 Tensor Core GPUs and NVIDIA Networking, form a robust infrastructure foundation for handling large workloads.
Using Dell Validated Designs, customers can gain access to the comprehensive enterprise features of Dell server and storage software. Project Helix also includes NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, equipping customers with a suite of tools to navigate the AI lifecycle. NVIDIA AI Enterprise includes over 100 frameworks, pre-trained models, and development tools like the NVIDIA NeMo™ large language model framework and NeMo Guardrails software for building topic-focused, secure, and trustworthy generative AI chatbots at scale.

With highly scalable and efficient infrastructure, enterprises can create a new wave of generative AI solutions that can reinvent their industries.
Security and privacy components such as Secured Component Verification are built into the foundational components of Project Helix to protect data on-premises. Dell Validated Designs based on the Project Helix initiative will be available through traditional channels and APEX flexible, beginning in July 2023.
