Chiru Labs’ NFT Collection Beanz Partners With Line Friends IP
In Brief
Chiru Labs’ NFT project Beanz partners with Line Friends IP.
The companies have mentioned possible retail distribution at Line Friends stores and immersive real-life activations that combine both collections’ worlds.
Chiru Labs, the creators of the blue-chip NFT projects Azuki and Beanz, partner with the digital intellectual property company IPX. The latter was formerly known as “Line Friends.” It is famous for its “Line Friends” characters, which were initially a sticker pack on the popular messaging app Line. As of today, the application counts 200 million international monthly active users.
The toy characters are now recognized as intellectual property, and IPX uses them for innovative partnerships with world-known brands. For instance, Line Friends has previously collaborated with Starbucks, Netflix, McDonald’s, Supercell, and the popular K-pop band BTS. So, this is a significant opportunity for Chiru Labs’ to promote its project Beanz among non-web3 users.
The partnership takes off with Beanz’s billboard above the Line Friends flagship store in Times Square, New York. Following this, the companies will reportedly release more joint initiatives. For example, Chiru Labs has mentioned possible retail distribution at Line Friends stores and immersive real-life activations that combine both collections’ worlds.
It’s worth noting that Beanz and Line Friends also plan to expand to other IPs within their portfolios. One of these will be IPX’s web3 partner, the blockchain company Cripco.
This is not the first time that Chiru Labs’ NFT collection Beanz has partnered with a noted brand. In May 2022, the cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger announced its plans to release a wallet collection created with the use of Beanz’s imagery.
