Paris Hilton Launches Metaverse Valentine’s Day Experience “Parisland” in The Sandbox
In Brief
Paris Hilton has teamed up with The Sandbox to create a virtual dating reality show and celebrate her birthday in the metaverse.
Parisland will be available from February 13 until March 13.
Paris Hilton and her company 11:11 Media have partnered with the gaming metaverse The Sandbox to create Parisland, a “dazzling tropical island in the metaverse.”
In Parisland, Players will participate in a virtual dating reality show hosted by Paris Hilton. This event will commence on February 13, just before Valentine’s Day, and will run for one month.
Players will be presented with five options for romantic partners. They will engage in various activities, such as selecting wedding rings and clothing, uncovering the mystery behind the island chef’s popular Love Burger, rescuing a stranded individual, and flirting with other contestants. Based on these experiences, they will make a final choice for their partner. The chosen couple will then exchange vows in a wedding ceremony, with Hilton DJing.
If a player completes at least one quest in the Parisland experience, they receive Memorabilia. After completing all the quests in the Parisland experience, participants will receive a Mystery Box (with prizes in SAND or Paris Hilton’s NFTs).
On February 17, The Sandbox is also holding “Paris’ Birthday Social Challenge,” a social event in celebration of the Queen of the Metaverse’s birthday. After completing all challenges, 50 lucky participants will receive an exclusive Cake NFT.
“I can’t think of a better way to light up the winter months than a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway to Paris Hilton’s tropical island in the metaverse. Parisland offers a dazzling escape to sunny beaches, lighthearted romance, and genuine emotion as you discover and woo your romantic partner and celebrate with a destination wedding,”
said Sebastien Borget, COO and co-founder of The Sandbox.
Paris Hilton has created an abundance of virtual experiences on The Sandbox. The Queen of the Metaverse built a Metaverse Malibu Mansion, hosted a “Cryptoween” party, and was a DJ at several metaverse parties in The Sandbox and Roblox. In December, the celebrity partnered with Genies to launch a collection of digital wearables for avatars.
Last year, Hilton partnered with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to empower women in web3 by creating a fund. The partnership aimed to support female artists working in fields such as AR, animation, video art, NFTs, and related areas.
