It’s been a tough year for the metaverse. First, it was revealed that the metaverse, at least at the moment, is little more than a glorified chatroom. Then, it was announced that the metaverse would be a losing investment in 2023. And now, CB Insights has declared that the metaverse is the biggest loser of the year.
The metaverse is a virtual world that people can explore and interact with. It has been hyped up in recent years as a possible successor to the internet. However, it seems the tides have changed, and the metaverse is not as favored as it once was. However, maybe not all is lost. CB Insights also announced that AI is a big winner for 2022 and will continue to be in 2023. So if you’re looking for something to invest in, you might want to consider generative AI.
What does this all mean for the future of the Metaverse? Well, it’s hard to say. But one thing is for sure: The metaverse is no longer the hottest investment around.
As a result, generative AI, which received more than 75% of the votes in its favor, is one of the strongest candidates in 2023. Meanwhile, 78% of the surveyed people believe the metaverse is an epic loser of 2023.
So what does this all mean? It’s simple. Stop playing metaverses and start doing generative AI.
