Ethereum-based Doodles NFTs are expanding to Flow blockchain
In Brief
Doodles announced their newest NFT project launching on Flow blockchain.
Through Flow, Doodles can be transferred and used across various platforms, such as social media, gaming, live events, streaming, and more.
The prominent NFT brand Doodles will release its highly anticipated Doodles 2 on the Flow blockchain. Doodles expands to Flow for “cross-chain interoperability” and to continue “creating a cohesive web3 world.”
The collection of 10,000 unique collectibles on Ethereum contains hundreds of hand-drawn designs, all in a distinct pastel color palette. Doodles remains one of the best-known brands in web3, with one of the most active communities.
“We’re able to create a frictionless on-chain app that lets mainstream fans customize their Doodle without limits,”
Doodles co-founder poopie wrote in a thread regarding the company’s transition.
Julian Holguin, CEO of Doodles, said the company chose Flow to make the collection accessible everywhere. Flow offers powerful composability, allowing Doodles to be easily transferred and used across various platforms, such as social media, gaming, live events, streaming, and more. Flow’s architecture is also built for scalability and offers a smooth experience for those new to NFTs and web3, including easy checkout and top-notch security and recovery features for Doodles.
Current Doodles holders will be able to purchase, sell, and trade their wearables on Gaia (the NFT Marketplace on Flow). They can also create a personalized collection that reflects their identities. As part of this process, holders will also receive a Doodles 2 Beta Pass, which grants early access to the private beta version of the create-your-own-Doodle tool. Following this, there will be new releases of Doodles 2 wearables and collaborations with brands, musicians, creators, and more.
According to the letter dedicated to the Doodles community, “the launch is the start of a transcendent new journey for Doodles.” Because of Flow, Doodle’s community won’t need to pay any gas fees and “can enjoy endless customization to create their own uniquely personalized characters.” But the web3 brand will keep investing in its Ethereum ecosystem as well.
Despite many NFT collections going down, Doodles is going strong. On Monday, the brand announced acquiring Golden Wolf, the Emmy-nominated animation studio behind Adult Swim’s “Rick & Morty.”
