Binance US Partners With Unstoppable Domains to Enable Web3 Domain Creation
In Brief
Binance and Unstoppable Domains launch a tool that allows America-based users to create unique web3 domain names.
U.S.-based Binance customers can send and withdraw crypto to any Unstoppable domain address and any platform that supports Unstoppable.
Users can now mint premium two-letter and two-digit “.BinanceUS” domains.
The U.S. division of the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance announces a new web3 tool, which allows America-based users to create unique web3 domain names.
The feature is powered by web3 domain name provider Unstoppable Domains. The domains enable users to easily send and receive cryptocurrencies and create decentralized websites. In addition, with a unique domain name, customers can develop their digital identities and access games and metaverses. On a side note, there are over 3.4 million existing web3 domains minted with Unstoppable Domains.
The companies are launching “.BinanceUS” crypto domains minted on Polygon Network. The partnership enables Binance’s users to have readable usernames representing their exchange addresses. Starting today, U.S.-based Binance customers can send and withdraw crypto to any Unstoppable domain address, including “.crypto,” “.nft,” or “.x” domains. Individuals can find this option when using the withdraw function. In addition, “.BinanceUS” domain owners can send crypto to any platform that supports Unstoppable.
As there are no gas and renewal fees on Polygon, individuals who get their own domain names can use them for years without any additional costs.
To launch the initiative, the companies are introducing premium two-letter and two-digit “.BinanceUS” domains. Individuals can find them exclusively on the exchange’s mobile application.
“Increasing accessibility to Web3 while maintaining a safe and secure ecosystem for customers is at the core of Binance.US’s mission. We’re thrilled to partner with Unstoppable and Polygon to simplify the crypto experience for our community and enable users to take ownership of their digital identities,”
said the Vice President of Business Development at Binance.US, Nandini Maheshwari.
Unstoppable Domain has recently introduced several notable partnerships. In January this year, the company partnered with Ready Player Me to enable users’ access to decentralized applications and metaverses under one digital identity.
In February, Unstoppable joined forces with Opera Browser to add new web3 domain name endings to the browser. The platforms also offered free “.nft” domains to Opera users to celebrate the launch.
