Azuki rolls out Christmas-themed outfits for the NFTs
In Brief
Azuki released festive “outfits” for the profile picture images
Holders can now change their Azuki’s looks to the Christmasy ones
Blue-chip NFT project Azuki releases festive “equipables” for NFT holders. Azuki owners can now dress up their characters with holiday sweaters and Santa hats.
To change the PFPs’ outfits, holders need to enter the “equipables” section in their collectors’ profiles. Users also add some snow to their Azuki profile pictures.
The community seems to be happy with the drop. After the official announcement, many Azuki holders posted the results of the festive outfit upgrades and changed their profile pictures on Twitter.
The collection, inspired by anime and Japanese culture, features 10,000 PFP-styled NFT artworks. Since its release, Azuki’s LA-based developers Chiru Labs, have introduced several features for the project’s community. In November, the company released a clothing collection in collaboration with the Japanese brand Ambush. Before that, Azuki dropped limited-edition physical jackets for token holders.
In addition to the community-oriented releases, Chiru Labs introduced the Physical Backed Token, which is available for everyone. PBT is an open-source standard that ties physical items to digital tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.
The current floor price of the collection is 12.31 ETH (approximately $14,993 at the time of writing). 271,327 ETH of volume was traded since Azuki’s release in January this year.
