Aptos Labs Partners with Microsoft to Develop AI-powered Dapps
In Brief
Aptos Labs is partnering with Microsoft to develop AI-powered blockchain solutions.
The partnership will give Aptos Labs access to Microsft Azure OpenAI service.
Aptos and Microsoft will also explore crypto payments solutions and CBDC.
Aptos Labs today announced a partnership with Microsoft to develop web3 solutions using Microsoft Azure OpenAI service.
One of the notable initiatives in this partnership is the creation of Aptos Assistant, which serves as a chatbot and Web3 onboarding tool. Aptos Assistant aims to remove the barrier of entry to Web3 for non-crypto natives. Users will be able to ask the chatbot any question in natural language about the Aptos blockchain and receive answers. It can also guide developers towards relevant resources as they build smart contracts and dApps.
Another significant aspect of this collaboration is Aptos and Microsoft’s joint effort to explore the development AI and DeFi solutions, including asset tokenization, payments, and Central Bank Digital Currencies. These initiatives are aimed at driving Web3 adoption within financial services enterprises. In addition, Aptos will run validator nodes on Azure to enhance the reliabilty and security of the Aptos blockchain.
“The intersection of AI and blockchain is one of the most interesting combinations of emerging technologies and can generate transformational use cases,” said Rashmi Misra, General Manager, AI & Emerging Technologies, Microsoft.
“By fusing Aptos Labs’ technology with the Microsoft Azure Open AI Service capabilities, we aim to democratize the use of blockchain enabling users to seamlessly onboard to Web3 and innovators to develop new exciting decentralized applications using AI.”
This news comes ahead of a $30 million Aptos token unlock on Friday. According to a Coindesk report on Tuesday, 3.21 million tokens now worth $25 million will be distributed to the community, with the remaining going to the Aptos Foundation.
Following today’s announcement, the value of Aptos native token, APT, jumped over 9% from $6.73 to $7.93 at the time of writing this, according to CoinMarketCap. The 24-hour trading volume of APT has also surged by more than 500%.
