Amazon, Shutterstock, and Grammarly File AI and Web3 Trademark Applications

Amazon, Shutterstock, and Grammarly have filed artificial intelligence and web3 trademark applications. The news was shared by Mike Kondoudis, the United States Patent and Trademark Office licensed trademark attorney.

According to Kondoudis’ tweet, Amazon filed “Roomba” and “IRobot” trademark applications on February 2. The tech giant reportedly plans to develop and release robots featuring artificial intelligence. For instance, the robot could be a caretaker, security surveillance, or personal assistant. More than that, Amazon Technologies has claimed plans for robot floor-cleaning machines and devices that connect and control the internet of things. Sounds much like a “Black Mirror” episode.

On February 23, image stocking platform Shutterstock filed trademark applications for “Shutterstock.AI.” The company’s new AI image generator will provide marketing and content analytics and insights, as well as graphics impact analytics and image recommendation services. In addition, the platform will allow users to develop computer vision training datasets and use image recognition performance prediction. More than that, Shutterstock.AI will enable artificial intelligence image search and text-to-image services.

Cloud-based typing assistant Grammarly filed nine trademark applications for “Grammarly Go,” “Go By Grammarly,” and “Grammarlygo” on February 23. The company will reportedly develop and release artificial intelligence-powered proofreading software that provides citations and detects plagiarism. In addition, Grammarly plans to provide AI-based educational services and multi-modal natural language processing. The company will also develop programs for artificial intelligence software customization.
